PARNEVU FOR EXTRA DRY HAIR....GET IT AT ANY LOCAL DRUGSTORE/WALMART/WALGREENS/ETC

it works magic...

For a good rinse out conditioner (after you shampoo) use something thick...there are a lot of good ones (esp. Aveda brands)

and also...after you condition, use a restorative treatment. Pantene Pro V for women of color have a good one; Pantene also has a "restorative treatment" that you leave in for 5 minutes then rinse...makes your hair heathy, soft and smooth. good luck!!!

After coming rinsing your hair in the shower, comb some Olive oil through your hair and wrap your hair in a warm towel. If you have a stand dryer, sit under the dryer for 10-20 minutes (depending on how much conditioning you need). Afterwards, either rinse the excess oil out of your hair, or style as usual.

I'm not african american, but I use a product from the section of the store that sells african american hair products and it's a deep conditioning treatment called cholesterol. I love it-it works great. I have dry coarse hair that I bleach platinum blonde.

Hello girl!

I have the weirdest hair on the planet. If it's wet it's curly and shrinks up to right above my shoulders.

If it's dry it's down my back and I get the "You get a weave" question.

It's thick, unruly, gets dry and brittle and makes me want to poke my eyes out.

It's taken years of spending a mini fortune on beauty products to find out one thing:

You can use virtually any conditioner. The trick is to get in the shower, wash your hair immediately, COAT it with conditioner, comb it through really well and THEN take your shower.

If you are like most women we take a little while to beautify in the shower. I would suggest trying this on "shave day" so he warm and humid air makes the conditioner work like magic.

By the time you are ready to get out the shower, the conditioner would of soaked for a minimum of 10 minutes, penetrating the shaft to add moisture (what your hair is missing).

I personally use Pantene for women of color, Bio-lage products and the Cat walk stuff (you know, GOT2be, RockStar normally sold at any chinese store fronting like a black hair care haven, lol)

Good Luck, I can feel your pain!

P.S. - I have pictures here so you can see how well this process works: http://photos.yahoo.com/ph/nycshortie72/...

After washing with cream of nature shampoo, put olive oil and mayo on your hair, cover with a shower cap and rinse after 20 mins. Viola!!!
