My hair is very long and for the past 2-3 months i've noticed that it breaks and falls out. I have tried vrious products but they have not helped. Is there a special vitamin lacking in my daily diet that will account for this problem with my hair?
Wwhat can i do to stop my hair from breaking? I am an African-American?
Dear Josephine,
In the first place you are either African or American, I hate when people of another orgin can't understand that they are american. If you want to be African then go live in Africa. As for your hair I can tell you what my wife uses. Don't laugh or think this is crazy cause it works. Go to a store that sells animal products and ask for a product called Mane and Tail it is used for horses but works for humans. My wife and daughter use it and they have long hair. It helps the protien in the hair and makes your hair softer and also helps to promote hair growth for those with long hair. I'm an avid fan of long hair and have recommended it to several women who have had the same problem. Like I said don't laugh it works. The company that makes it is Straight Arrow, Mane 'n Tail and body. It will give you instructions for human use. Quit using all those other hair products that break down the hair. Such as Hair Dye and hair sprays. It will take a couple of weeks till you really see the differance.

Are you or have you recently had your hair chemically straightened?? Are you also using a flat iron on your hair?? If so move the heat setting back a bit as you may have it set to high and it will definitely burn the hair and make it break.
Also at Sally's Beauty supply store you can get several types of Mask's and leave conditoner's and also severly damaged hair conditoner's that would be a big help to you.....
Most Sally's are very accomodating when you walk and explain what you need and they will lead you to where you need to be....
