I perm my hair and I was wondering if anyone had tips on how to make my perms last longer and how to make my hair silky and smooth like it is after a wrap at the hair salon. The best solution would be to go to a salon as often as possible, but that's not always possible. So any tips you may have will be appreciated!

You can continue to relax your hair, but it only needs to be done every 4 to 6 weeks. Regardless how fast you get new growth. If you over process your hair that will cause it to be dry and brittle. After you shampoo and apply conditoner, rinse your hair with cool water to seal the cuticle, which will allow them to lay flat. That'll give an appearance of shine. Now to get your hair silky smooth, you need a good product to use from the store, just go to the hair store and look in black hair care. Optimum is a good product to use, I really like it and it doesn't leave a build up on your hair. To get a wrap like at the salon, after you shampoo your hair wrap it with wrapping lotion, not alot, and sit underneath a dryer. Hope this helps
