Wavy Hair For African Americans?

I want like the wavy type hair that Indian girls have, and i'm African American, how do I get that? I read in a magazine (balck magazine) that mousse and using medium sized rollers, and sit under a blow dryer would give the wavy, silky type Indian girl type look, I just wanted to know if this was true? I have frizzy hair and I would need to get it straightened before I could think about putting the mousse on my hair. Please give me advice, and also what would I use to make it even silkier? Like I said, I want the Indian girl type wavy hair.

Thanks In Advance

I'm Indian. It might be possible to make it wavy and silky. I doubt it though. I'm sorry, but the hair types are very different! But if you're really up for it, a lot of Indian girls put coconut oil into their hair and brush it a whole lot. And I'm using a shampoo called Pantene Pro-v and I noticed my hair has become a lot shinier since I started using it. You could try!

If you like wearing weave in your hair you can get wet and wavy hair. It works and it lasts a long time. Alot of young ladies I know loves to wear this type of hair. You can get it up to 18 inches long if needed!

Yes, you can get this look!! Get the March/April 2007 of Sophisticate's Black Hair Styles and Care Guide Magazine (Gabrielle Union is on the cover). It's on newstands now. On page 112 the article is titled Wet Set Roll Out Step-by-Step Styling. It shows you how to get free-flowing curls (wavy look) and keep up with it. It is too much to list, but it does note that you will need a hooded blow dryer, three different sizes of plastic rollers, a flat iron for the roots (I suggest CHI because ceramic is less damaging to the hair), and a satin bonnet to sleep in at night. I haven't tried this look yet, but I plan to for Easter. It looks really pretty. Good luck!!

I was looking that this website and they put me on to all of these other stores and options to get wavy hair.

http://getyummygood.blogspot.com/ The one that worked for me the best was Ms Jessie's Pudding and I also found a new hair dresser that puts a product in my hair that has made my hair beautiful and wavy.

you should check out the site and see what you like.
